bamboo side table.

forgive me for reposting this bamboo side table but its one of my favorite pieces tim has made. its still available if anyone is interested. its a good deal too because we were able to salvage the bamboo for a great price. 

The Birthday Party Panel Painting is by Dolan Geiman and a very special piece to me. Mostly because when I had it in the shop my parent's told me the girl looked like me. :)

busy = messy.

i'm one of those people who hops from one project to another before one is completed. this sort of work flow always creates a mess. enid's shop counter is also my desk and my work table and today its quite a disaster. the back shop wall however is not. i have to rearrange it from time to time as bits and pieces of the picture arrangement get sold. today i included one of my bamboo magnet boards in the mix.

it takes a lot of work turning a product concept into an actual tested, photographed, and fabricated product. well i finally got around to listing my bamboo magnet boards here. they are made to order and available in two sizes and five color options. tim and i plan to crank some out this afternoon so i can take them to the girlie show this weekend. i think they will make great guy and girl gifts for christmas.

i wish i had a nicer styled shot of t.bobo's latest tables, but this shop pic will have to do. they turned out beautiful and i'm happy to say the recipients were equally as pleased with them. :)

my handmade anniversary present.

do you recall this little table i got at a garage sale? i bought it because i was in love with the design and shape. so for our anniversary tim promised to make one just like it for our upstairs coffee table. i struggled with what color to paint it, but finally decided on off white. it still didn't seem quite right though. then it came to me!!! it needed a bamboo top tier. perfect!!! i've added another picture to my tbobo furniture section here.

new product!

here's something new from lara collins. its a piece of bamboo plywood with a magnetized colored strip across the top for attaching photographs, invitations, to do lists, and all sorts of ephemera. above was my prototype and i'm happy to say it works beautifully! tim and i are going to begin making them in several sizes and colors. some we might even attach hooks onto for hanging keys or necklaces. i need a clever name for them. any ideas?
