renegade loot.

i did well enough at renegade to justify a few purchases and trades. :) i think its funny how towards the end of the show the traffic dwindles and all the vendors get bored and start milling around making their own acquisitions aka supporting their fellow crafters. :) first off i got one of molly m designs chromatic paper cut prints for little bobo's room. i used to sell them at enid but this was my first time to see them in color. another line i used to carry at enid is leah duncan. i had to have one of her new pillows featuring the color black for the upstairs loft i've been working on. it looks swell in the new leather club chair.

i'm thinking about leaving that tag on the chair and calling her minnie pearl. i never took it off and now i'm sort of getting used to it. next up i got this screen printed card by paper and twine. i love how she pairs her hand drawn sketches with witty little sayings. i thought this one was pretty romantic. :)

lastly, this little renegade craft fair onsie. i'm not really buying clothes for the babe yet till i know his age and size, but this onsie is super soft and stretchy so i figured it would work. i could of gotten so much more, but i had to restrain myself. the show was full of truly talented individuals!

i'm in love...

i've been looking forward to the premier of this show- secrets from a stylist which is supposed to air in 7 days i believe. but via twitter i happened upon a link that led me to this full episode of one of the shows. i love it! from the flea market shopping, to the layering of styles and diy projects its all just my kind of show. so, if you've got 45 minutes or so to kill, check it out. :) also you might enjoy emily henderson's blog.

miniature rhino.

i didn't know samplers could be so cool and modern. miniature rhino had a great vision when she started crafting these stellar samplers.

hello world.

i prefer a picture to words, so this introduction will be brief. this blog intends to inspire, never to tempt. its about being creative, resourceful, tenacious, and thrifty. enjoy!

the best part about owning a smart phone is the built-in camera. so often the best pictures aren't arranged, they just happen. i wasn't going to stop at the antique mall this weekend, but then i wondered- what was i missing? for under $10 i scored a russell wright creamer, a heath ceramics salsa bowl, and a floral pitcher from romania. so, captured posts will feature images that just happen that i capture with my phone.
