this morning tim and i went to the estate sale of a lady who had quite an eye for ornate frames. the 16" x 20" wood frame on the right is in perfect shape! anybody need something special framed?

i'm still framing audubons! the one on the left is my favorite frame i've ever come across...and it was just $5!!! i can't part with it just yet but the one on the right is going on the wall at the new shop! i try to use mostly salvaged mat board and salvaged plexiglass/glass and i always use vintage frames! so each framed piece of art is not only a one of a kind but its also affordable and green.

i framed a pair of vintage vera napkins for a customer and i love how they turned out. can you believe those frames are plastic?

eight more to go. here are the first two completed frames of ten i'm refurbishing for this lovely mother's day gift package. each frame will be painted a lovely off white and matted for a 5" x 7" photograph.

both tim's and my family are a big part of our lives. for tim's christmas present i made some pictures of his parents and his past into plywerks. last night we hung a grouping of wall things including one of the butterfly collections on sale for 50% off at enid. i still need a print or something for that bigger top frame. i tend to hang empty frames until i find something to put inside. :) salvaged wood frame is from yehaw industries.
because our house has a ton of windows we have very little wall space. but i intend to grow these two collections together until they meet. i think it could be quite cool!
