San Antonio Show.

for the first time ever my three friends and i are combining our talents and tastes into one fabulous vintage/handmade filled booth at the Garage of Goods upscale flea this weekend in San Antonio, TX. rach will be bringing vintage finds, lavender sachets, and leather bracelets. katie turpin has created an amazing collection of jewelry out of found objects and hand altered vintage finds that she will be bringing along with planters, vintage clothing, and more! katie volk has been busy at work on her hand-painted burlap pillows, colorful pennant banners, handmade framed prints, and even a set of gorgeous vintage chairs recovered in a clean natural linen. As for me, i'm bringing leftover enid goods at crazy low prices, vintage, and my handmade line of pillows and tees. hope to see you all there! email me if you have any questions about where to find us.

dinner party for 15.

tim and i love having people over for dinner. last night we had our biggest dinner party to date with fifteen guests. the occasion was a discussion dinner that we attend every other week with about 18 twenty somethings who dwell in fred. my lovely friend brought me some fresh sprigs of mountain laurel (fireking custard dish).

we made pizza which proved to be a pretty easy dish to serve 15. it helps to do all the prepping beforehand and to have girlfriends (who know their way around the kitchen) help bring it all together. :)

a birthday party.

my valentines evening (as it has been for the past 24 years) was spent celebrating my sister, rach. we gathered at the volks for pizza, wine, and cake. we each took turns rolling out and topping our own pizza. then we finished off the meal with a scrumptious red velvet cake and some guinness beer heart cakes...deelicious!

the cute lady with the fabulous frames was our hostess! ;)

get your piece! :)

friends of mine, aaron and heather hale are raising money to bring home their adopted son from ethiopia. they've named him arthur. if you've ever looked into international adoption you'd know that it is quite expensive...around $30,000 to give you an idea. to help raise funds, they came up with this creative puzzle fundraiser. for $10 you can buy a piece and they will write your name on the back. Once the puzzle is complete they will frame it in a double sided glass frame and hang it in arthur's bedroom. read more and donate here
