october wedding.

i attended my favorite wedding to date this past weekend. it was not only a marriage of two amazing people but the event itself was a marriage of great taste and abundant creativity. a few of my favorite elements were the tree stump cake stands, the antique sugar molds filled with succulents, the free spirited bouquets of flowers and feathers, and the wooden flatware and dish cloth napkins. these pictures hardly do it justice, but i had to share!

wedding gifts.

rach and i love thinking up and getting together gifts. we put these two together for our childhood friend who is getting married this weekend. these items seemed perfect because 1. she and her future husband both have pipes they like to smoke together, and 2. they are honeymooning in ireland.

these charming little guys are a bit pricey, but consider that you can keep them forever as a very special memento of your wedding day. perhaps your posterity might want to use it again to top their cake.

shower invitations.

i just wrapped up the design for my lovely soon to be sister-in-law's shower invitations! i found a box of brand new kraft paper envelopes at a garage sale for $3 that should work. these address labels from paper source would be cute for a little extra zip!

here is the letterpress invitation suite i created for my cousin's wedding. my sister, rach, addressed the envelopes with her modern calligraphy. i wish i had a picture.
